What you’ll do:
  • Administratively support multiple faculty while also acting as a liaison between students, other instructors, and various HBS and University departments.
  • Provide support on a short-term and long-term basis based on changing business needs.
  • Manage course delivery through administrative support tasks that include updating the learning management system, tracking student work, liaising with prominent guests, coordinating audiovisual support, and organizing in-class activities.
  • Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the faculty.
  • Manage complex calendars, travel arrangements, expense reimbursements, and other administrative tasks.
  • Proofread cases and papers, retrieve research resources, and submit materials for publishing and distribution on campus and globally.
  • Coordinate events by communicating with guests, reserving rooms, ordering catering, and managing all relevant logistics.
  • Prepare meeting documentation, manage filing systems, and maintain office inventory.
  • Collaborate with fellow Faculty Support Specialists on projects and departmental activities.
  • Move projects forward and continually look for ways to leverage faculty time.
  • Work effectively within our collaborative, cross functional team environment on a variety of assignments.
  • Be responsible for other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  •  3+ years of administrative support or related customer service experience working in an administrative, clerical, executive support, coordination, or related professional capacity is required.
  • Hands-on experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), or similar suites of programs such as those from Google and Apple. NOTE: As part of the interview process, you may be asked to complete a skills assessment that involves tasks related to the role utilizing word processing, spreadsheets, and slide shows.

Additional Qualifications and Skills

  • Comfortable juggling competing priorities, reporting to multiple supervisors, and accommodating a broad range of workstyles.
  • Ability to work independently and contribute as a valuable team member.

Additional Information

This role is offered as a hybrid (some combination of onsite and remote) where you are required to be onsite at our Boston, MA-based campus 3 days per week. Specific days and schedules will be determined between you and your manager.
