The School Psychology Faculty will be responsible for teaching, scholarship, and service. As part of their role, they will be expected to develop and deliver engaging instructions that incorporate the latest teaching techniques, technologies, and trends related to their assigned discipline. Please note, that this is a 12-month full-time faculty and based at our main campus in Phoenix, AZ.

What you will do:

  • Teach one or more subjects within prescribed curriculum. Assess learners through formative and summative practices.

  • Lead the development of School Psychology Program.

  • Lead the accreditation process for the School Psychology Program. Manage administrative aspects related to maintaining School Psychology accreditation.

  • Reviews college program policies in accordance to accrediting standards and University vision/mission and ensures alignment.

  • Teach undergraduate courses and graduate courses within the requisite discipline meeting the required course load requirements.

  • Remain current with new trends and development in his/her field of expertise.

  • Required to maintain the equivalent of a four-course load (12-16 credit hours) either on-ground or online with a course release for designing and managing the School Psychology Program.

  • Monitors School Psychology curricula revisions and development.

  • Works directly with Compliance to ensure alignment of course curriculum and practices with state board specifics rules for School Psychology programs.

  • May be asked to serve as Chair of the Programs

  • Other duties as assigned.

What you need:

  • Doctoral degree Psychology or similar field.

  • Discipline specific active licensure/certification.

  • Experience serving as a School Psychologist.

  • Teaching experience at a college level.

  • Specialized knowledge of School Psychology discipline.

  • Evidence of involvement in one’s professional area (e.g., membership in professional organizations, presentations, research and/or publications).

  • Must successfully pass a background check.

  • Supports the integrity of the GCU Christian mission, faith integration & learning outcomes
