Knowledge, Skills and Abilities	Proficiency in plant lipid biochemistry and oil biosynthesis research methodologies. Ability to conduct experiments, collect and analyze data, and troubleshoot technical issues. Strong laboratory and data management skills. Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and present research findings. Commitment to maintaining laboratory safety standards. Strong analytical and data interpretation skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team and provide mentorship to students. Excellent communication and writing skills. Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies. Physical Demands Ability to stand, walk, and perform laboratory tasks for extended periods. Manual dexterity and precision are required for laboratory work. Ability to lift and carry laboratory equipment and supplies, up to 50 pounds. Visual acuity and color perception are necessary for accurate data analysis. Flexibility to adapt to varying work schedules and research demands. Requires travel to conferences and collaborative meetings.
Required Qualifications	A Ph.D. in Plant Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field with a strong background in plant lipid biochemistry and oil biosynthesis. Demonstrated expertise in laboratory techniques related to plant lipid analysis, lipidomics, and oil biosynthesis.
Preferred Qualifications	Previous research experience in plant lipid metabolism and oil biosynthesis. Experience in mentoring and supervising undergraduate and graduate students. Record of peer-reviewed publications in relevant scientific journals. Familiarity with grant proposal writing and securing research funding.
