Research Assistant Professor Department of Pathology School of Medicine University of Pittsburgh

The Department of Pathology at the University of Pittsburgh is recruiting a research assistant professor (appointment stream) faculty position for the Division of Experimental Pathology. Applicants should have demonstrated research interests in in all aspects essential for studying projects on tumor immunology and Wnt signaling in the context of hepatocellular cancer. Knowledge of studying mouse models of liver cancer, tumor xenografts, liver histology and tumor characterization and Wnt signaling pathways is also highly preferred. Qualified candidates should possess a Ph.D., or equivalent degree with relevant training and five years of experience in the field. Each successful applicant is expected to possess or to develop a dynamic, extramurally funded research program in the area identified above. Excellent communication skills and the ability to teach at the graduate and postgraduate levels are highly desirable.  The Department of Pathology is highly active in research, emphasizes collaborative efforts, and provides support to allow investigators a steady base for launching and advancing a competitive investigative career in biomedical research.
