Job Description

The Department of Physical Sciences at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach Campus, invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track Assistant Professor position. The position is available beginning in Spring 2024 but candidates who will not be available until the Fall 2024 semester are also encouraged to apply.


Qualifications

Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Physics, Engineering, or a closely related field, and be able to teach both introductory and upper-level physics courses. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to innovative undergraduate teaching, dedication to mentoring, and an interest in service to the education community. In addition, the ideal candidate should have a demonstrated history of engaging students in active-learning projects, preferably involving hardware.

The Physical Sciences Department includes over 40 full-time faculty, offers BS programs in Engineering Physics, Space Physics, and Astronomy & Astrophysics, MS and PhD programs in Engineering Physics, and provides the campus’s introductory physics and chemistry courses.
