Job Summary/Basic Function:
Reports to the Operations Manager, Facility Services.
  • Performs carpentry repairs, additions, and maintenance on various building components;
  • Moving, rearranging, installing, and repairing furniture;
  • Moving, removing, installing and repairing fixtures
  • Performs repairs to roofing, flooring, walls, doors, windows, and other misc. repairs as needed;
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature or level as assigned
Physical Demands:
Ability to traverse campus, sitting, lifting (up to 75 lbs.), carrying, pushing/pulling, reaching, handling, kneeling, crouching, crawling, bending, twisting, climbing, balancing, vision, hearing, talking, and foot controls.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Three years carpentry and general maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge of woodworking and general carpentry.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
  • Ability to meet the needs and concerns of college
    customers.
  • Ability to get along with others; and to work in a team
    environment.
  • Other qualities, experiences, and skills that enhance
    one’s value to the institution.
