Michigan Medicine Mission Statement

Michigan Medicine improves the health of patients, populations and communities through excellence in education, patient care, community service, research and technology development, and through leadership activities in Michigan, nationally and internationally.  Our mission is guided by our Strategic Principles and has three critical components; patient care, education and research that together enhance our contribution to society.

Who We Are

The Michigan Medicine Real Estate Team manages all leased locations for Michigan Medicine, including University of Michigan Health West and University of Michigan Health-Sparrow, overseeing a diverse leased portfolio spanning medical office, administrative office, and industrial spaces consisting of approximately 150 locations in Michigan.  The Real Estate Team manages all Michigan Medicine leased space needs, including lease initiation, negotiation, amendment, extension, enforcement, and administration.  The Real Estate Team also handles acquisitions and dispositions of owned real estate.  Additionally, the Real Estate Team oversees day to day leased building maintenance concerns and serves as the liaison between our landlords and Michigan Medicine support service departments.
