Minimum Position Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in technical theatre, theatre management, or related field from an accredited college/university or may substitute work experience for education. Two (2) years of professional experience in live performance production as a stage manager with a theatre or performing arts organization preferred.

Practical skills and experience in modern professional theatre techniques. Must demonstrate problem-solving ability and handling varied projects simultaneously under tight deadlines. Strong organizational and project management skills. Experience with preparing and managing department budgets and meeting goals. A team player who is able to work well with others in sometimes stressful environments. The ability to work and communicate effectively with a diverse group of board members, donors, volunteers, patrons, and staff of diverse cultural backgrounds. Excellent English language oral and written communication skills and proofreading skills. Excellent customer service skills. Computer literacy in Microsoft Office software applications.
Work Schedule
Monday – Friday
8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Must have the ability to work flexible hours as needed, including some evenings and weekends.

Oversees day-to-day operations of the Music Facilities and Performance spaces.

Oversees the interviewing, hiring, and training of part-time facilities operations staff and student employees; planning, assigning, and directing employee work; appraising employee performance; establishes work schedules and determines work assignments.

Oversees and maintains appropriate levels of inventory, supplies, and equipment utilizing an inventory control system.

Work collaboratively with all operational staff in the preparation of space, materials and equipment required for School of Music productions

Works collaboratively with the Business Officer to plan and estimate financial resources required for programs and/or projects.

Works closely with other offices on campus including Parking, Security, Food Services, Information, Technology, Maintenance, and Physical Plant as needed.

Manages and communicates work orders and maintenance requests for all music facilities.

Maintains professional development and knowledge in performing arts operations; attends and previews concerts, plays, and other entertainment programs as a source of inspiration.
