FACILITIES MANAGER, MIT Medical, to be responsible for the successful project and operational management of MIT Medical’s facility maintenance and new development, including planning, resourcing, and implementation. Will supplement the work performed by the facilities coordinator for complex actions associated with day-to-day operations and ensure that the facility remains a safe environment; manage the coordination of building maintenance efforts and ensure adherence to all healthcare requirements as well as those of OSHA, MIT, and other regulatory bodies; manage members of MIT’s various facility maintenance departments, third-party vendors, and internal stakeholders; oversee safety programs and continually improve the MIT Medical safety management program; fulfill reporting needs for compliance with federal/state/local regulations and MIT/Medical policies/procedures; and support MIT Environment, Health and Safety in all regulatory requirements. 


Job Requirements
REQUIRED: high school diploma or its equivalent; seven years’ related experience; advanced-level knowledge of one or more related professional disciplines and construction site safety requirements; broad understanding of current construction practices, methods, and materials; knowledge of major building systems and their operation; ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, and contracts; knowledge of construction scheduling and site administration; excellent analytical, customer service, and interpersonal skills; comfort with short deadlines; and solid understanding of warranties and conditions which invalidate them.  Must be able to develop thorough knowledge of the roles and interactions of building team members and thorough understanding and management of project budgets; exercise discretion and independent judgment to continually improve services; interact effectively with a wide range of individuals and constructively participate in dispute resolution; and work both independently and cooperatively in a team-oriented environment.  PREFERRED:  bachelor’s degree.  Job #20404-9
