Position Details
General Statement | Reporting to the University Engineer, this position provides engineering support for operations and maintenance staff to keep campus mechanical, utility and control systems operating efficiently and effectively. This position also provides engineering support for campus entities to help renovate and construct facilities that meet the needs of MSU. |

Position Special Requirements/Additional Information | Must possess currently or be eligible to obtain a valid State of Montana Driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record (less than 12 points). Physical Demands | Exposure to temperature extremes, noise, vibration, heights, areas with poor access, limited space, poor or no ventilation and lighting. May work in areas containing materials such as asbestos, gaseous, liquid, and solid process/research wastes which may contain chemical, biological or radiological contaminates. Perform project inspections/field investigations indoors and outdoors by traversing moderate distances, ascending/descending ladders/catwalks, accessing and navigating flat or pitched rooftops. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. |
