What will you be doing in this role:

The Associate Network Engineer is responsible for assisting with large scale implementation and/or relocation of PCs and printers. Coordinates patching of computers and printers to the data network, deployment of virus updates, and patches. 

Support Cedars sites for cabling trouble tickets, patching, connectivity issues, communication room maintenance, wireless access support, UPS installations, maintenance & battery swaps. 

Supports port configurations, IP assignments, & special lab equipment.

Responsible for assisting with the evaluation and completion of complex cable installations, including cable plant, racks, trays and conduit, as required. 

Responsible to insure the proper reporting of time and coordination of TFFs required for each work order. 

Requires installation & configuration of UPS as well as troubleshooting, monitoring & updating database if swapping of device is needed. 


Experience Requirements:

6 months plus of experience as a cabler demonstrating ability to patch network cables, image/installation of PCs or installation of network equipment. 

UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supplies) configurations and maintenance experience preferred.

Knowledgeable of infection control procedures, fire code regulations, JCAHO regulations and organizational Policies & Procedures that govern the construction work on site as it relates to the installation of cable plant, racks, trays and conduit. (preferred)

Educational/Certification Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED.

Certification of Fiber Optics preferred.
