Description:

Position Summary
An Extra Help Physical Therapist Assistant provides physical therapy services to an assigned caseload of patients under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Direct Patient Care time (actual time with patients, may vary from scheduled) - includes all direct
  • interventions and patient education that is integrated as a part of treatment session
  • Indirect Patient Care (IPC) - time spent in chart review, documentation (direct patient care documentation
  • as well as any other documentation related to patient care), scheduling, attending team or family meetings
  • and rounds (documented as clinic time), ordering equipment, assisting other staff
  • Academic and Clinical Teaching
  • Administration (daily sheets, case presentations, staff meetings, block meetings, committee meetings, giving inservices)
  • Other related duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications:

    Minimum Qualifications

    CREDENTIALS TO BE VERIFIED BY PLACEMENT OFFICER

     
  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation at time of employment
  • Preferred Qualifications
    Prefer at least 3 years of experience in Outpatient with ortho, vestibular, lymphedema, oncology diagnoses.
    Prefer experience with Epic.
    Prefer Spanish-speaking.
