Summary of Job Duties:

The Extra Help/ ESPN Camera Operator will assist with operating the camera and other duties as assigned. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency policy.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for operating the camera equipment;

  • Collaborate and work closely with the producer and the team;

  • Responsible for operating various camera support equipment.

  • Monitor technical aspects of the camera equipment during shoots;

  • Must follow safety protocols to ensure the well-being of the team and themselves;

  • Responsible for the maintenance and organization of camera equipment;

  • Collaborating with the technical crews;

  • Ensure that all equipment is tested and maintained before filming begins;

  • Resolve technical and practical problems.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Must be able to work home events as needed;

  • Must be able to work weekend and late nights;

  • Must be professional and punctual;

  • Must respond quickly to directions;

  • Need strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with other crew members;

  • Able to coordinate with camera assistants, grips, and other departments to ensure smooth camera movements and efficient workflow.
