Summary of Job Duties:
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is looking to hire 2 extra help assistants in the Physics and Astronomy department. This position will be responsible for the preparation/maintenance of the teaching labs for the Fall semester, developing in-class and outreach physics demonstrations, and help with tutoring if needed. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.
Qualifications:
Required Education and/or Experience:
- Must be a participating Physics and Astronomy student who will continue into the Fall 2022 semester as a Graduate student.
Job Duties:
- The preparation/maintenance of the teaching labs for the Fall semester;
- Developing in-class and outreach physics demonstrations;
- Help with tutoring if needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of common lab equipment and its uses;
- Basic computer skills.
