Extension Educators Coordinator 3, ANR - Lucas/Wood Counties

This position is primarily located in Lucas County, Toledo, OH, but also serving Wood County, Bowling Green, OH.

The Program Assistant will be working with the Master Gardener Volunteers (MGV) focusing on management efforts in Lucas and Wood Counties. The PA will also work in the community, developing and strengthening relationships with community partners. The Program Assistant will organize meetings with community collaborators and volunteers. They will schedule, set up and attend events and meetings with collaborators, volunteers and the public. They will be responsible for scheduling meetings, events, and activities as needed. They will occasionally work alongside the volunteers in the community, assisting with gardening (mulching, weeding, planting, digging, seeding, and more) and outreach (displays and demonstrations) efforts. The Program Assistant will be responsible for managing the Hands on Connect volunteer hour tracking systems, including training volunteers on using the system. The PA will learn Salesforce, the Extension tool for communications and tracking volunteer activities. The PA will also be responsible for social media efforts for MGVs and community projects and will coordinate regular communication with MGVs. Seeking a people-person who is organized and a self-starter, along with someone who is willing to develop relationships among community partners, collaborators, and volunteers.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or GED. Certification or vocational training may be required. Associate degree in relevant field may be preferred. 2 years of relevant experience required. 4-6 years of relevant experience preferred.

The pay range for this profile is $14.52 - $19.39/hourly. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit’s available budget, and the candidate’s qualifications.
