Job Summary
Extension Assistant for Community Arts – Boone County
Location: Burlington, KY
As an Extension Assistant for Community Arts, you will responsible for leading community arts workshops, afterschool clubs, and visual, performing, and/or literary arts for youth and adults. There will be a high level of interaction with the general public. The Extension Assistant will be expected to be knowledgeable of the philosophy, goals and objectives, policies and procedures of the Cooperative Extension Service. General duties include program support, teaching, public accountability and public relations, recruitment and marketing, and record keeping while conducting yourself in a professional manner. Under the supervision of an Extension Agent, the Extension Assistant will assist in: QuickBooks, maintaining budget files, leading community arts workshops, afterschool clubs, and visual, performing, and/or literary arts for youth and adults; recruiting members and volunteer leaders; providing support and guidance to existing clubs and workshops; recruiting and working with volunteers in conducting events and activities; serving all clientele, ensuring that all youth and adults have an equal opportunity to participate in extension programs regardless of economic or social status and will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, ethnic origin, national origin, creed, religion, political belief, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, pregnancy, marital status, genetic information, age, veteran status, or physical or mental disability.
State law requires a national and state criminal background check and a letter from the Cabinet for Health and Family Services stating the employee is clear to hire based on no findings of substantiated child abuse or neglect found through a background check of child abuse and neglect records as a condition of employment or involvement in this program.
Salary Range: $18.00
