Extension Program Assistant III

University of Tennessee Extension

4-H Youth Development

Part Time (20 hours per week)

Williamson County

 

Extension Program Assistant III is responsible to the County Extension Director and works under the direction of Extension Agents. This position will support county work in implementing educational programs for youth and adult audiences. Assist in providing guidance and directions to other program educators (agents and program assistants) with procedures appropriate to acquiring materials for the program, maintaining program records, budget records, travel request procedures, and personnel procedures.

 

1.      Provides leadership for a program of activities that meets the needs of all eligible clientele regardless of race, color, national origin, age, sex, disability, religion or veteran status.

 

2.    Plan, execute and evaluate 4-H educational programs under the direction of the leaf of Extension Agents and County Director.

 

3.    Implements, evaluates, and reports program related to organization, leadership, recognition, sponsorship, etc.

 

4.      Secures and trains volunteer leaders and serves as an educational resource for educational youth and adult programs within the county.

 

5.      Responsible to the County Extension Director and must keep current on the latest research information in youth development.

 

6.      Assures program implementation, delivery and evaluation activities are in compliance with the grant guidance and established policies and procedures for the program and for Extension.

 

7.      All other duties as assigned.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

What are the minimum qualifications in terms of education, experience, job skills, and physical requirements of the job which would be required?

     

Minimum/Required Qualifications (include education, experience, skills & abilities, licenses & certifications):                 

-Successful applicant must have a valid Tennessee driver’s license.

-Must have a high school diploma, preference will be given to those with a degree

-Clear background check will be required

                                                                                                                                                           

Preferred/Desired Qualifications:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             

-Experience working with adults and youth in and out of class room settings preferred

                                                                                                           

 

    

 

 



Qualifications

 

Key Job Skills:  Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, especially Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to organize files and prioritize tasks. Ability to manage budgets and research topics to be used for education development. General office and computer skills with excellent written and oral communication skills.
