SUMMARY

Under the direct supervision of the Dean of Health Sciences, the Coordinator of Experiential Compliance will support the Health Sciences Program Directors and Clinical/Practicum/ Internship/ Fieldwork Coordinators in assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and maintaining academic/clinical/agency affiliation agreements or contracts. The coordinator will ensure affiliation agreements or contracts between Regis College and the clinical placement agencies are completed in a timely manner and ensure students comply with working agreements stipulations regarding all clinical clearance requirements.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Collaborates with Program Directors, Clinical Faculty and Clinical Site/Agency Coordinators in the collection, maintenance and recording all Health Sciences students immunizations and background check clearances prior to students attending clinical sites/agencies.
  • Develop and maintain systems and procedures for monitoring ongoing and new site requirements within program (Castle Branch) related to student background checks and immunization records, compliance with HIPAA training and certification, drug screening, fingerprinting, CPR certification, and OSHA training.
  • Manage, oversee, and maintain clinical site/agency affiliation agreements and contract in collaboration with the Dean and Assistant Deans, risk management, and fieldwork coordinators. 
  • Support clinical coordinators as they work with clinical sites to participate in our experiential education programs.
  • Coordinate with Academic Fieldwork Coordinators to avoid duplication.
  • Coordinate and monitor information and orientation sessions and module compliance.
  • Process and distribute student incident reports to appropriate persons/departments.
  • Support routine experiential education processes.  
  • Serves as a liaison to clinical site/agency coordinators as needed by Program Directors or the Dean. 
  • Prepare and distribute electronic reports for review and use by various stakeholders as necessary.

 

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Promote and maintain positive College relations with internal and external constituencies.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

 

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.  
  • Knowledge of computer software programs and applications for word processing, spreadsheets, and database management; Proficient use of MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
  • Ability to learn, implement, and manage office procedures related to Health Sciences policies, rules and procedures.
  • Ability to work with a limited amount of supervision while anticipating the needs of the Dean, Assistant Deans and Program Directors.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to establish positive public relations for Health Sciences; and to interact with a wide variety of people.
  • Excellent negotiation and decision making; possess problem-solving skills; work independently.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Normal office environment, not subject to extremes in temperature, noise, odors, etc.
  • May spend extended periods at terminal, on telephone, or operating other office machines, requiring eye-hand coordination and finger dexterity.
  • Frequent interruptions to assist students, staff, and faculty.
