Summary of Position
Keene State College invites applications for an Executive Director of Academic Support Services to provide vision, strategic direction, leadership, and management of operations for academic support units including TRIO Programs (Aspire, Aspire STEM, Upward Bound, Upward Bound Math Science, Links, Peer Tutoring), Academic & Career Advising (ACA), Global Education Office (GEO), and Office of Disability Services (ODS) along with long-range strategic planning for closer integration and collaboration of these functions.

Acceptable minimum years of experience 5-7 years

Other minimum qualifications
  • Master’s degree and a miniumum of five years related experience
  • Experience in establishing and supervising effective processes for data and information management to ensure timely and accurate reporting and confidentiality of participant records.
  • Proven success working with TRIO programs including Student Support Services, Upward Bound, and Upward Bound Math-Science.
  • Successful grant writing experience.
  • Strong technical skills and the ability to train and work with colleagues to implement new and appropriate technologies.
  • Experience in Information Technology Management to ensure the successful submission of Annual Performance Reports to the Dept. of Education.
  • Knowledge about and experience in working with low-income academically challenged students.
  • Demonstarted ability to motivate and lead teams of people.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through verbal and written means; excellent public speaking and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational, budgeting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to a collaborative team-oriented work environment.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations of students and colleagues.
  • Active engagement in the TRIO community at the Federal, State, and or local level.

Proven ability to restructure and/or redirect programs in order to continuously respond to emerging research, strategies for improved efficiency or changes in student demographics, abilities, and or aspirations. Additionally, the College has identified desirable qualifications that support our commitment to creating and maintaining a diverse campus community including the ability to speak a second language or to bring a multicultural perspective to campus.
Salary Information
Salary is commensurate with experience, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical, dental, retirement, tuition, and paid time off.
