Executive Director of Alaska Native Science and Engineering Program (ANSEP)

Reporting to the UAA Provost, the Executive Director is responsible for the effective administration of all academic and administrative matters at ANSEP including but not limited to organization, planning, personnel, budget, student support services, research, space and equipment. As a member of the University's management team, you will participate in setting direction and advocating for the ANSEP program, promoting the programs as an active participant as a principal contributor in the quality of life in the community.

Preferred Experience &/or Education:

Terminal degree from an accredited institution, 5 or more years of experience in post-secondary education as faculty or academic administrator; experience working with Alaska Native and/or Rural Alaskan populations. Must be eligible for appointment at the rank of Associate or Full Professor with tenure.

Required Experience &/or Education:

Advanced degree from an accredited institution, 3 or more years of experience in educational programs and service delivery; experience working with Indigenous populations. Eligible for appointment at the rank of Associate or Full Professor with tenure.

Position Details:

This position is located at the University campus in Anchorage. This is a full-time, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package . This position is a term-funded position and is reviewed annually for contract renewal at the University's discretion.
