The Department of Academic Enrichment at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania is seeking an Executive Director for Student Success and First Year Experience (Job#24900-19-299).  The Executive Director for Student Success and First Year Experience is a full-time, 12-month tenure track position at open rank (dependent on applicant qualifications and experience) who may teach up to three credit hours per semester during the academic year.  The Executive Director reports to the Associate Vice President for Student Success.  The Executive Director will be responsible for integrating key strategies that support student transition and integration into the University.  This new position will provide leadership and direction to offices and programs that support students' academic experience and will oversee the offices of Academic Advisement and The Center for First Year Experience and Transition. Additionally, this person will be responsible for the implementation and on-going support of the Starfish Enterprise Success Platform.

The Academic Advisement Center – The Academic Advisement Center provides academic group advising to students who are undeclared, undecided, or in the process of changing majors.

The Center for First Year Experience – The Center for First Year Experience provides a direct connection to academic experiences in the classroom through the design and coordination of First Year Seminar Courses, Learning Communities, Jump Start, Orientation, Peer mentor training, and Parent and Family Programs.

The Starfish Enterprise Success Platform – Starfish is the student retention tool that Bloomsburg University is implementing to allow for seamless communication across all divisions on campus to improve the student experience and enhance University retention efforts through Early Alert, Intervention Inventories and academic planning.
