Executive Director and Senior Lecturer or Lecturer - Tech Policy Institute

The Tech Policy Institute in the Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy at Cornell University invites applications for an Executive Director and Senior Lecturer or Lecturer. We encourage applications from practitioner and scholars with proven records leading academic programs, outstanding teaching credentials, and a research agenda at the intersection of national security and technology policy.


The successful candidate will be part of an interdisciplinary hiring initiative at the Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy at Cornell University. This position will entail academic leadership and management of the Tech Policy Institute as well as the development and teaching of up to four courses related to Technology and Policy in National Security. This is a non-tenured track position and the rank—Senior Lecturer or Lecturer—will be determined by teaching experience. Candidates considered for Senior Lecturer must have at least the equivalent of six years of full-time teaching experience.

Qualifications: (a) Ph.D. in a field related to public policy and/or a field related to public policy or technology; (b) demonstrated experience building curriculum, managing faculty, conducting academic assessments, and leadership; (c) proficiency with research methods and the use of statistical software.
