The purpose of the UNC School of Law Office of Advancement is to support the mission of the law school by raising private resources from alumni, friends and other constituents to enhance financial support for students, faculty programs and facilities. The Executive Assistant’s primary responsibility is to relieve the Associate Dean for Advancement of operational and administrative details, and perform administrative functions that require thorough knowledge of the School’s policies, procedures, and operations and specifically to oversee the administration of the Office of Advancement. The position will provide comprehensive professional support for advancement functions, which includes support of the Dean, Associate Dean, Director of Development, Director of Alumni & Donor Relations, and three Regional Development Officers.
|Minimum Education and Experience Requirements||
High school diploma or equivalency and three years of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience; or Associate’s degree in secretarial science, business administration, or a related discipline and one year of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience ; or Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business administration or a related discipline; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
|Essential Skills, Knowledge and Abilities||
• 3 years of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience working for executive level professionals
• Proficient with DAVIE database or similar CRM
|Special Physical and Mental Requirements|
|Position/Schedule Requirements||Night work occasionally, Overtime occasionally, Weekend work occasionally|
