Job Summary:

This position provides primary, high-level, professional and administrative support to the executive vice chancellor and provost including responsibilities of an operational nature. Providing support for the Provost is the most important function of this position. This position is the office manager. Managing the Provost's calendar and scheduling serves as a major component of the job. The position also prepares/drafts correspondence for the Provost. Duties range from standard office support assignments to performance of administrative duties involving decision-making and judgement, personnel administration and management, facilities coordination and planning, and interpretation of policies and procedures. Requires application of broad knowledge of budget and business practices with dynamic funding sources and a variety of functional activities, programs and services. Requires public contact at the highest level internal and external to the organization.
This position provides administrative support to the associate provost for strategy and special projects, which includes calendar support, scheduling meeting as requested, preparation and transmittal of correspondence and serving as back-up liaison to Facilities Services and Procurement.
This position manages and improves business processes and operations by ensuring continuity, integration of policies and procedures with the organization's mission and strategic plan. The position requires a knowledge of personnel and management, purchasing, facilities coordination and planning and other closely related work.
 
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
