The School of Computing & Augmented Intelligence is searching for an Executive Administrative Support Specialist, a position with considerable responsibility in administering services and support to the Director, faculty, and staff of the department.

To be successful in this role, you must be skilled in handling confidential and sensitive information, have a deep knowledge and understanding of academic and university policies and best practices.  

You will coordinate multiple high-level tasks simultaneously and autonomously, which includes business affair operations, personnel matters (such as Faculty and AP personnel actions and faculty recruitment), and proactively manages a wide range of projects and initiatives with support from various personnel.

Essential Duties

Management of:

  • Faculty academic personnel actions-faculty promotion and tenure, sabbatical reviews, evaluation of probationary faculty and academic professionals, review of multi-year appointments, evaluation of conditional contracts, and requests for emeritus status.   
  • Faculty annual review and evaluation process. 
  • Faculty recruitment process.
  • Interfolio products and the unit use.  

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Business or field pertinent to work unit AND four (4) years of directly related administrative experience; OR, Eight (8) years of directly related administrative experience: OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.


Desired Qualifications

  • Experience managing faculty personnel 
  • Experience managing faculty recruitment process
  • Experience working in higher education and knowledge of University policies and procedures with emphasis on academic personnel.
  • Experience using Interfolio products and implementation 
  • Evidence of effective communication skills
  • Experience supervising co-workers

Working Environment

Activities are primarily performed in a regular, climate-controlled office setting subject to extended period of sitting. Visual acuity and manual dexterity associated with daily use of desktop computer; bending, stooping, reaching and lifting up to 20 pounds. Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential duties. Ability to work both independently and within a complex structured team.
