Required Degree: PhD required.

The required degree must be completed by the start date.

 

Experience:   Minimum of 20 years experience of teaching fly fishing courses in a university setting.

 

Duties/Expectations: The applicant is expected to teach introductory and advanced fly fishing courses, integrating healthy lifestyle, wellness, and outdoor resource management. Excellent ability to use experiential learning techniques to teach students the following: fly tying, fly fishing knots, casting, nymphing, dry fly, streamer techniques, ability to rig and fish independently in rivers and still water, ability to care for gear and the outdoors as well as the ability to catch and release a fish on the fly in both rivers and still water, and the ability to integrate fly fishing knowledge and it's contributions to one's quality of life.

Applicant may be required to demonstrate all of the above teaching competencies.
