Position DescriptionBloomsburg University's Department of Exceptionality Programs Special Education Program seeks applicants for temporary faculty positions (full-time one semester, part-time one semester or part-time academic year) as needs arise.
The Department of Exceptionality Programs houses three programs: Special Education (including student teacher supervision). Dual Deaf Education (PK-12) / Early Childhood Education (PK-4), and ASL/English Interpreting.
Examples of DutiesBased on the specific needs of the department at the time of appointment, a successful applicant must be qualified to teach introductory and/or upper-level courses from the required sub-field of Special Education.

Qualifying Experience / EducationMinimum Requirements:
- Education requirement: A Master’s Degree in Special Education or a related field
- Experience teaching students with exceptionalities
- Experience supervising students in field-based placements
Preferred Qualifications:- Ph.D.
- Experience with diverse populations
- Evidence of scholarly activity

Recommendation for hiring is needed from a majority of the regular, full-time department faculty.
