The Exam Services Program Assistant works with students, staff, and faculty to coordinate accommodated exams and to improve the accessibility of academic assessments on campus with the ultimate goal of ensuring that students with disabilities have full access to their university experience. Oversees daily/shift operations of the Exam Services area within Student Life Disability Services (SLDS); serves as primary dayshift back up and delegate for Exams Services Coordinator duties; performs operational planning, database coordination, and proctoring of 20,000+ accommodated exams annually for students with disabilities; performs the daily coordination of exam accommodations, including but not limited to: extended time, distraction-reduced environments, assistive technology, accessible formats, and staff readers/scribes; on-boards, trains, and serves as shift manager for 25+ student employees, as well as volunteers and temporary employees; serves as Exams Services lead representative on hardware, software, and data management improvement initiatives in collaboration with Student Life Technology Services; communicates with students, faculty, and staff to implement accommodated exams; aids with the coordination and implementation of finals on and off-site; supports Exam Services Coordinator in ensuring the office’s test integrity and security efforts.

Additional Information:

Required:  High School diploma or GED; Certification or vocational training; 2 years’ experience working in a social services or student services environment; proven interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills; ability to multi-task; working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and databases; experience working in a team; customer service experience; experience working with diverse individuals; supervisory experience; experience working with individuals with disabilities. Successful completion of background check for final candidate.

Desired:  Associate degree or equivalent years of education or experience; 4 to 6 years' experience working with college students in a higher education environment; experience with accessibility software; experience with exam administration.

Targeted hiring range is $17.74 to $23.63 per hour.
