Temporary Full-Time Events Setup Crew Member (2 positions available), $16/hr; 40 hrs/wk, USC Aiken Campus Support Services
The University of South Carolina Aiken department of Campus Auxiliary & Support Services is looking for two individuals to join the USCA Event Setup Team. Under the general supervision of the Events Scheduling Manager, the Events Setup member will:
  • Be responsible for event set-up and tear downs for all campus and contracted event equipment and resource needs.
  • Work with other set up team members to ensure the location is fully equipped and prepared for smooth execution of the event.
  • Occasionally serve as house manager for outside vendors, assist the Events Scheduling Manager in carrying out School Dude (university work order request system) requests and optimize high levels of guest experience satisfaction.
  • Occasionally be required to supervise and provide direction to part time and/or temporary employees.

Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma and 1-year related experience.
  • Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Professional and personal integrity. Knowledge in operational procedures, facility capabilities, event-related services and technical requirements for events in indoor and outdoor venues.
  • Must possess a current driver’s license and a good driving record. Must be forklift certified within 6 months of hire. Training provided by USCA.
  • Must be hospitable and work harmoniously with others.
