Events Management Specialist

Summary:

The Enrollment Management division is looking for an event management specialist who schedules reservations and entailing space allocations for events within admissions, financial aid and student retention. Provides logistical consultation for events including room setups, AV equipment and sound systems. Collaborates with University Dining Services regarding food service needs. Works directly with the Visits & Events Team and oversees event execution; writes event proposals; sets timelines; works with internal and external vendors; ensures displays are set up; coordinates with EM communications team to create invites, agendas, etc. Constantly assesses and improves events from the vantagepoint of a prospective student. Supports efforts of Visits & Events Team, including supporting daily campus visits, visit scheduling, and call routing.

 


Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years office and/or administrative support work.
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Attentiveness to detail
  • Knowledge of event planning, reservations, etc. preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Project management skills
