Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a  ETL Developer (Business Intelligence and Data Analytics Systems) for the Office of Information of Technology – Enterprise Application Services (OIT-EAS). The position provides development and production support for the Business Intelligence infrastructure including data warehouses, data marts, data models, data services, views, and reports. 
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Responsible for analysis, planning, design, development, implementation, and maintenance in support of University central and departmental standardized ETL and report processes, as well as, integration with both internal and external data partners. 
  • With minimal supervision, this position develops processes for data integrations. 
  • Involved with ingesting data from a variety of university data sources. 
  • Adapts and helps lead standard methodoglies for ETL development. 
  • Working with the functional leads and business owners, this position designs and develops DB views and shell scripts.

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related technology field; or a an equivalent combination of education and/ or experience in system design and development. 
  • A minimum of seven years in an analytical and programming environment with emphasis on financial, human resources, student, and/or healthcare applications, critical business areas and analytics, ERPs, systems design, and data modeling.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica and native PL/SQ: programming required.
  • Additional experience with reporting tools such as OAC, Tableau, BI Publisher, OTBI, ODI preferred.
  • Customer service mindset, profession courtesy, respect and consistent positive communications to team members and clients is essential to delivering great work experiences. 
  • Experience with data modeling for reporting.
  • Aptitude for leveraging big-data technologies. 
  • Ability to understand complex, integrated state of the art business intelligence and report data modeling.
  • Ability to understand complex user authentication and data access authorization security models. 
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills and the ability to foster working relationships with users and peers. 
  • Excellent technical documentation, analytical and research skills.
  • Skills to create and maintain ETL workflows/processes for a myriad of datasources including cloud sources, creating source to target specifications from business requirements and completing development of ETL processes using Oracle PL/SQL, Informatica, OWB, ODI, or any other ETL tools. 
  • Knowledgeable in reporting tools, decision support systems, data modeling, data design and ETL processing, preferably experienced in Oracle Financial Cloud ERP and/or Oracle HCM and/or Healthcare data.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Peoplesoft or Oracle Financial ERP experience, Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF), PLSQL, JAVA programming, File Based Data Import skills, Web Services, and/or PaaS.
  • Prefers 10 years in an analytical and programming environment with emphasis on financial, human resources, student, and/or healthcare applications, critical business areas and analytics, ERPs, systems design, and data modeling.
Equipment Utilized
  • Informatica Power Center, OTBI, BI Publisher, Oracle Analytics Cloud, Tableau, Oracle Data Integrator, Oracle Warehouse Builder, and ETL processes.
