Department Summary
Since 1977, the IELI at UNT has provided English language training for international students who hope to matriculate into degree programs at UNT or further their language sills during a study abroad or employment training experience. IELI is an academic unit within UNT’s International Affairs. Since 2014, IELI has also been teaching English for KGU onsite in Hirakata, Japan
Position Summary
1. Be available to teach at dates and times prearranged by program director
2. Teach one or more IELI classes for current instructors who are ill or taking leave of absence
3. Access shared files for class notes and content
4. Keep track of and report on attendance and learning activities, objectives, quizzes, etc., covered during class to both the program director and instructor covering for

Minimum Qualifications
1. MA in TESOL or closely related field
2. Teaching at university-based intensive English program for at least 2 years
3. Current or former teaching experience at UNT’s IELI or KGU x UNT classes
4. Successful experience in remote teaching
Preferred Qualifications
Current KGU x UNT instructor
Required License / Registration / Certification
Work Schedule
Substitute at times outside of own classes according to substitute schedule or as needed during regular business hours
