|Description of Work Unit||
The Integrated Solid Waste Section (ISW) exists to provide a clean campus on which to study, work, and live. We remove solid waste from campus according to the ISW plan, which maximizes the reuse of campus waste through recycling and composting with landfilling as a last resort.
This position exists to efficiently and effectively collect and deliver recyclable material and operates the 64,000 GVW trash truck and a 41,360 GVW recycle truck. This position will also operate a 22,420 GVW rear-load truck to collect cardboard as needed for operators who are on leave.
This posting will be filling two positions, one shift is Monday – Friday (with occasional weekends required) with hours being 5:00 am -1:30 pm and a Tuesday – Saturday shift with hours being 5:00 am – 1:30 pm. Please note: These positions require a current and valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with air brake endorsement.
