You are an experienced epidemiology management professional bringing your knowledge of advanced analytical work and experience directing multiple projects and studies based on public health and racial equity priorities. You are knowledgeable of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies and have a demonstrated commitment to equity-focused, community-based participatory, and stakeholder-led research and evaluation practices. You are someone who thrives on cultivating and maintaining a team of effective relationships across multiple backgrounds, perspectives, and cultures. You are someone that is committed to advancing public health through the planning and implementation of complex epidemiologic investigations, studies, and surveillance of public health priorities including, but not limited to, leading causes of death, social determinants of health, health disparity analyses, chronic disease outcomes, maternal/child health outcomes, communicable disease outbreaks, and injury related to violence and overdose. This position will work in downtown Portland, OR.

Minimum Qualifications/Transferable Skills*:

Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be as noted below. All non-traditional education, training and experience will be evaluated.

  • Education/Training: A doctorate or PhD is required AND
  • Experience: Three (3) to six (6) years of experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position is required. 

Other:

  • Previous work as a Principal Investigator, Co-Principal Investigator, or Co-Investigator on major research grants is required.
  • Strong publication record , including several first author publications in major journals
