The Maternal and Adolescent Health Epidemiologist is located in the Maternal Child Health Epidemiology Section of the Family and Community Health Bureau (FCHB). This new position will support maternal and adolescent health programs within the FCHB, including the Title X Family Planning Program, Maternal Mortality Review Program, the Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program, and the Sexual Violence Prevention Program.

Responsibilities include: 1) Analyzing surveillance data such as health indicators, risk factors, and disease surveillance information; 2) Analyzing programmatic and service-related data; 3) Designing, coordinating, and managing special surveillance and/or evaluation procedures where there is no other existing data available; 4) Developing and conducting various trainings related to epidemiological and program evaluation issues; and 5) Designing and conducting program evaluations.
