Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining, building, analyzing, and documenting key components of the Epic Resolute Professional Billing software application.
- Primary area of focus is to provide professional claim form and remittance development and maintenance to support shifting payer and industry guidelines in a compliant manner.
- This team member will be involved in all aspects of revenue cycle support including implementing new functionality as well as optimizing and automating workflows where appropriate.
- Analyst will create, test, maintain and document professional claim form and remittance build to ensure accurate and compliant billing.
- Create, maintain and document claim edit work queues to route work effectively and accurately; as well as work on identifying areas for process automation.
- Manage project implementations for new and existing departments and product lines.
- Maintain Epic Master Files and documentation related to claims and reimbursement contracts and procedures for updating.
- Follow ITIL processes regarding change control, version control and environment control through the enforcement of UCPG and UCM change control policy.
Has a deep understanding of business process analyses, needs assessments, and preliminary cost/benefit analyses. Solves complex problems relating to computer equipment capacity, limitations, and operation time.
Utilizes thorough understanding of business systems and industry requirements to translate business and user needs into system requirement specifications.
Recommends process improvements in existing applications and revises existing system logic difficulties as necessary. Designs, develops, and implements new applications, systems architecture, network systems, and applications infrastructures.
Communicates and presents on system enhancements and/or alternatives to colleagues in IT management.
Performs other related work as needed.

- A college or university degree in related field such as Information Technology, Computer Science, Network/Systems Administration, etc.
Experience:
- Five years of experience in Epic application support in healthcare/
- SQL query experience.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Epic Resolute Professional or Hospital Billing Claims Certification.
- Epic Resolute Professional or Hospital Remittance Certification.
Preferred Competencies
- Microsoft Office Application Suite knowledge.
- Knowledge of commonly used healthcare data standards and code sets.
- Excellent verbal and written communications.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to create procedural, technical and training documentation.
- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks and small projects meeting deadlines and project timelines.
- Ability to analyze solutions for process improvement.
- Ability to lead small workgroup discussions required.
- Ability to resolve minor conflicts and escalate if necessary.
- Ability to work in a team environment and partner with vendor, business and technical team members.
- Ability to work independently, multi-task and partner with staff and management.
- Ability to work with vendor support to identify and resolve issues related to UCPG applications.
- Ability to comply with HIPAA standards re: confidentiality and security of PHI.
