Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) located in scenic Upstate NY is a multi-campus College with locations in Troy and Malta New York. QUALIFICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT
A. EDUCATION (MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS)
1. Master’s degree in Business/Business Education, Computer Science, or closely related field and two years or more teaching experience in business education including, but not limited to keyboarding, data entry, office procedures, computer applications, business English, basic Business math, marketing, management, entrepreneurship, and candidate should have experience teaching educationally and economically disadvantaged adult populations within a multi-cultural environment.

B. PERTINENT OTHERS
1. The ability to instruct on an individualized basis with continuous enrollment; and
2. A working knowledge of web design, advanced internet search techniques, email, online learning and distance education.

NATURE AND SCOPE OF DUTIES
Reports to Program Coordinator or his/her designee and performs the following:
1. Teaches assigned courses including but not limited to keyboarding, data entry, office procedures, computer applications, business English, basic Business math, marketing, management, entrepreneurship;
2. Develops course materials including lesson plans, checklists, and syllabi;
3. Prepares all necessary reports and attends required meetings;
4. Meets, confers with, and advised the Program Coordinator on matters impacting the business program;
5. Provides individualized and group instruction;
6. Encourages and reinforces the simulated office environment concept which includes teamwork, critical thinking, problem solving, conflict management, and interpersonal skills;
7. Supports student internships and works closely with Employment services;
8. Participates in review and revision of curriculum and instructional materials; and
9. Performs related duties as described in the faculty agreement.

The hourly rate for this position is $43.00.
