Description of Work Unit
CEMML is a research, education and service unit within the Warner College of Natural Resources at CSU. CEMML applies the latest and most appropriate science to promote the sustainable management of natural and cultural resources on Department of Defense (DOD) and other public lands. We provide technical support, conduct applied research, and offer career development and learning opportunities to support resource stewardship. We collaborate with our sponsors and within CSU to resolve complex environmental issues, leaving a legacy of science-based decisions that sustain our resources for future generations.
Position Summary
This position is a Subject Matter Expert in environmental compliance and current contamination issues (and in particular Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances [PFAS] providing technical support to Army National Guard Headquarters (ARNG HQ).  Support to the position may be up to 50% remote location. Army National Guard (ARNG) / National Guard Bureau (NGB) is located in Arlington, VA
Required Job Qualifications
The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States by proposed start date. CEMML will not provide visa sponsorship for this position. 
Must have a valid and current driver’s license or the ability to obtain a driver’s license by the employment start date.
Applicants must have a B.S. degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Toxicology or a related field plus 8 years of experience supporting environmental compliance restoration programs. 
Applicants must have knowledge with Installation Restoration Programs, Defense Environmental Restoration Program (DERP) eligible sites Compliance-related Cleanup (CC) sites, Munitions Response Sites,  and Army Environmental Strategic Cleanup program within ARNG
Experience with the Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA), PFAS emerging contaminants is required.
Preferred Job Qualifications
Desired qualifications include experience with a technical review of environmental and CERCLA documents, developing and presenting briefings, and delivering environmental cleanup instruction. 
Experience with funding request support services, Operational Range Assessments, and Restoration Technical Project Management support is beneficial. 
Experience with execution, coordination of Preliminary Assessments, Site Investigations (PA/SI), Remedial Investigations, and ARNG environmental programs is helpful.
