Full job description: https://jobs.colostate.edu/postings/111093 Full Consideration Application Date: 09/19/2022 Salary Range: $100,000 – $130,000 Position Summary: CEMML is a research, education and service unit within the Warner College of Natural Resources at CSU. CEMML applies the latest and most appropriate science to promote the sustainable management of natural and cultural resources on Department of Defense (DOD) and other public lands. We provide technical support, conduct applied research, and offer career development and learning opportunities to support resource stewardship. We collaborate with our sponsors and within CSU to resolve complex environmental issues, leaving a legacy of science-based decisions that sustain our resources for future generations. This position is a Subject Matter Expert in environmental compliance and current contamination issues (and in particular Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances [PFAS] providing technical support to Army National Guard Headquarters (ARNG HQ). Support to the position may be from a remote location. ARNG HQ is located in Washington DC. There is a possibility for this position to be remote. Qualifications
Required Qualifications: • The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States by proposed start date. CEMML will not provide visa sponsorship for this position. • Must have a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain a driver’s license by the employment start date. • Applicants must have a B.S. degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Toxicology or a related field plus 6 years of experience supporting environmental compliance restoration programs. Experience must include management or investigation of contamination cleanup sites. • Applicants must have experience with technical review of environmental documents, developing and presenting briefings and environmental cleanup. • Experience with PFAS and associated contaminants is required.
