Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and six years of related Computer experience. Additional experience may be used on a one-to-one basis to offset the educational requirements. The university offers market competitive salary and benefits. Grade EH. Salary commensurate with experience.

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate job skills are listed below:

  • Experience administering and maintaining enterprise web content management systems such as Drupal, Acquia, Wordpress, Adobe Experience Manager, Sitecore, etc.
  • Experience managing large web sites across multiple domains with heavy traffic
  • Experience developing in Javascript/CSS and able to build modular, maintainable, testable, code.
  • Experience building and maintaining site design templates
  • Experience developing and supporting integrations of web-based systems via API's.
  • Skilled at web UI design with modern approaches (HTML5/CSS3/Flex/Grid/PWA)
  • Understand multi developer Git workflows
  • Experience configuring and supporting enterprise web search engine technologies (I.e., Google custom search, Funnelback, etc.)

Additional proficiencies are a plus:

  • Experienced in working with Python and various related frameworks and tools such as Flask, Nameko, Marshmallow, Mongoengine, and Pytest
  • Experience working with front-end frameworks and tools including Angular, Typescript, and Node
  • Experience managing for developing with Jira Service Desk
  • Experience in RDBMS (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server) and document database (MongoDB) design and data architecture.

We are seeking a motivated web administrator to join our Information Technology Department at the University of Louisville. This individual will join a team of experienced web developers and administrators that work to integrate, automate, and administer the University's enterprise web content management system. They would be responsible for daily support of the system and end users, including site creation and configuration, plugin development, and building integrations. They must be able to communicate clearly with technical peers to build clearly defined requirements and convert these into robust technical architecture. Experience in producing high-quality technical specifications, documentation and accurately estimating the time required for the build. Able to operate independently as technical lead on small projects. Work collaboratively and effectively with multiple developers and administers to support the system. Having a passion for innovating and solving hard problems is highly desirable.
