Description

Quantum networks rely on entangled photons to distribute quantum information across the network. In our group, we study these photon sources as well as ways to utilize and optimize them for use in quantum networks. These sources can be based on bulk crystals, engineered crystals, waveguides or integrated photonics. We work closely with the quantum network testbeds team in Gaithersburg to study deployment of these sources in real-world optical fiber networks.
