Enrollment Specialist, Registrar

Job Description:
The Enrollment Specialist provides support in all areas of the Registrar’s Office.

Job Duties as Enrollment Specialist include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist the Registrar with all procedures in the Registrar’s Office
  • Work extensively with the student information system (Banner)
  • Process and maintain documents relative to the enrollment system including enrollments, add/drops and withdrawals
  • Provide information, respond to and interact with students, faculty and staff regarding enrollment policies and procedures
  • Assist faculty and advisors with student enrollment
  • Assist students with enrollment and related issues
  • Input and maintain data for the spring, summer and fall sessions and prepare the enrollment schedule of classes for each semester
  • Verify accuracy and validity of enrollment documents
  • Perform routine calculations necessary to maintain transcripts, records and reports
  • Evaluate and maintain student transcripts and associated academic records
  • Provide information on and interpretation of OSRHE and University policies and procedures
  • Assist students, faculty and advisors with Degree Works
  • Assist with monthly submission of enrollment reporting file to the National Student Clearinghouse system
  • Perform other related duties as requested by the Registrar


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of a standard high school or equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and implement new computer applications and business processes
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and other software applications
  • Excellent spelling, punctuation and grammar
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated organizational and management ability
  • Ability to work independently and to supervise others

  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Two years of experience working for a university
  • Familiarity with FERPA and maintenance of confidential student records
  • Ability to manage tasks in the presence of repeated interruptions

  • SALARY RANGE:
    $29,770 Annually
