Reporting to the Associate Registrar, the Enrollment Registrar Coordinator willbe responsible for all functions related to the processing of student registrations, including determination of program eligibility and student notifications. In addition to the CUNY Title Overview duties include:

  • Createand updaterecords,process enrollment for students in high school programs (College Now/Early CollegeInitiative)
  • Process Academic Fresh Start applications; calculate grade point averages and make record updates as needed
  • Assist with post enrollment requisite check processing
  • Process requests for student registration, including enrollment overriderequests
  • Assist with academic, event and final exam scheduling using Coursedog; assist with entry of class schedules and cancellations in Coursedog; provide schedule proofs and reports; check schedules for accuracy
  • Assist with records-related activities, including enrollment overrides, adding and dropping of courses, creating and updating enrollment pre-requisites and co-requisites
  • Assist withtheprocessingofenrollment verification requests from city and government agencies, employers,etc.
  • Process WNgradereversals and grade changerequests as well as graduation waivers and course substitutions
  • Update student data in CUNYfirst; assist with resolution of student records and registrationissues as they arise
  • Generate queries in CUNYfirst and/or Coursedog
  • May assist with the supervision and training of clerical and part-timestaff

Abilityto work evening and weekendhours as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions (CUNYfirstpreferred)
  • Registrar???s Officeexperience
  • Experience processing College Now and Early College Initiativeenrollment
  • Experience working with scheduling/events (Coursedog preferred)
  • Experience working with enrollment requisite groups
  • Experience working with post enrollment requisite checking
  • Knowledge of Schedule Builder andDegreeWorks
  • Accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to function well underpressure
  • Strong customer serviceskills
  • Excellent computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft office (Word,Excel)
  • Ability to establish and foster collaborative relationships with faculty, staff, andstudents

CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW

Provides operational support for registration operations.

  • Provides advice on academic and administrative registration requirements
  • Interprets and communicates academic, registration and enrollment policies and procedures
  • Assists with registration and provides information to prospective and enrolled students in registration and records-related areas
  • Complies, generates, and updates various reports, catalogs, and inventories
  • Maintains compliance with established record release procedures, including the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
  • Collaborates with College and University offices to address inquires and concerns and resolve student registration and record problems
  • May participate in activities related to course scheduling and maintaining course databases
  • May monitor and revise the content of web pages and other communication materials
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Salary commensurate with education and experience.

$54,268 - $60,394.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Health Plan Coverage for Employees Hired on or after October 1, 2022 City of New York employees and employees of Participating Employers and their eligible dependents hired on or after October 1, 2022 will only be eligible to enroll in the EmblemHealth HIP HMO Preferred Plan and must remain in the HIP HMO Preferred Plan for the first year (365 days) ofemployment.

After 365 days of employment, the employee will have the option of either remaining in the HIP HMO Preferred Plan or selecting a different health plan within 30 days before the end of the 365th day period.

If a new health plan is selected, the new plan will be effective on the 366thday.

Only after the 365th day can the employee participate in any Annual Fall Transfer Period. An employee who needs to request an exemption from the required enrollment in the HIP HMO Preferred Plan can do so by submitting a HIP HMO Opt-Out Request Form to EmblemHealth. An employee, or eligible dependent, must meet certain criteria and the request must be approved by EmblemHealth before the exemption is granted. The HIP HMO Opt-Out Request Form and HIP service area are available on the EmblemHealth website.
