The Enrollment Management Communication Strategist implements communication messaging and strategies supporting the enrollment goals of the University. This position will have primary responsibility for creating communication plans, developing content, deploying messages through a variety of channels, and measuring effectiveness for specific communication campaigns for the Office of Admissions within the Salesforce Admissions Connect platform, but can assist other enrollment initiatives and strategies within the Enrollment Management Unit (EMU).  Work will be produced in a highly collaborative environment.

Who We Are:

The University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) is one of four campuses in the University of Colorado system and is home to over 9,500 undergraduate and 1,900 graduate students.

Colorado Springs  ( pop. 450K+) is situated at the base of Pikes Peak, offers many recreational and cultural activities and was recently ranked by U.S. News & World Report  

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for creating and implementing comprehensive communications plans for Admissions and assisting with strategies for other areas of the Enrollment Management Unit.
  • Designs and executes enrollment communication.
  • Liaisons with marketing, communication, and web staff across campus in support of admissions and enrollment initiatives. 
  • Supports Undergraduate, Graduate, and International communication strategies.
  • Monitors and corrects website problems to include broken links, images, etc.  
  • Collaborates with University Marketing and Communications on initiatives, productions, and projects.
  • Oversight of UCCS Admissions social media
  • Provides quality assurance to products created across the Enrollment Management Unit.
  • Monitors enrollment initiatives and efforts to identify key areas where additional communication could have an impact.

This position has been determined to be exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

What We Offer:

Salary Range: Generally starting at $46,038 - $59,404

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

This position is dependent on the availability of auxiliary revenues funding.

Tentative Search Timeline:

Qualifications

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience with most of the following:
    • writing and developing communication content
    • developing and delivering multi-channel communication initiatives
    • managing day to day social media efforts for a company or organization including posting in an official capacity in social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited university or college in marketing, journalism, public relations, communications, business administration, student affairs, or closely related field
  • Experience using CRMs including Salesforce, Slate, or other comparable system
  • Experience using Salesforce native email tools Pardot and/or Marketing Cloud
  • Experience using Salesforce native applications such as Blackthorn and/or Mogli.

 

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit. Employee is occasionally required to move. Tasks may involve using a computer screen continuously for long periods of time. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
