Position Summary | Provide project management services for Housing and Residence Life projects. This position will serve as a field person to resolve any problems with projects either in process or accepted projects and provide field management and hands-on carpentry work for in-house projects. This position will attend progress meetings weekly to ensure schedule compliance, submittals are installed as designed, budgets are maintained, and decisions are made appropriately in a timely manner. This position performs field duties supporting engineers and other professionals in areas such as construction, materials testing, design, surveys, and/or program/regulatory compliance. Work functions may include inspection for compliance and/or code, collection, and analysis of field data; testing of materials; some review and comments for design plans, specifications and submittals; analysis of engineering related data, products, and/or functions. Work may include a leadership role. Oversee and facilitate field tasks associated with design and construction of building repairs, and renovations, with emphasis on resources, quality, and timelines. Supervise two carpenter/painter positions. |
Minimum Qualifications | ASSOCIATE’S DEGREE IN THE ASSIGNED DISCIPLINE; OR EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE. SOME POSITIONS MAY REQUIRE CERTIFICATION. ALL DEGREES MUST BE RECEIVED FROM APPROPRIATELY ACCREDITED INSTITUTIONS. |
