The Office of Access, Opportunity and Community Engagement (OAOCE) at the Darla Moore School of Business invites applications for a full-time Engagement Programs Coordinator position. Reporting to the Director for the Office of Access, Opportunity and Community Engagement, the primary responsibility for this position is providing comprehensive support to OAOCE. This involves ensuring that staff are well-supported and equipped to execute daily functions directed by their supervisor. Support spans various initiatives, including the Rising Scholars Program, The Business Success Academy, SC Business Week, the SC Power Forward program, and related programs. Responsibilities encompass critical tasks such as assisting with data collection, maintenance, and reporting, organizing initiative components, supporting living and learning community programs, coordinating marketing efforts, and addressing/responding to emails and other communications as directed. Additionally, the coordinator proficiently manages procurement functions. This includes overseeing the acquisition of essential supplies, equipment, and services to facilitate the seamless execution of office programs. The coordinator also provides invaluable support in general office capacities, covering tasks like scheduling and coordinating appointments, meetings, and events, managing communication, document preparation, travel arrangements, and budget tracking.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, and no prior work experience, which may be substituted by equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced networking and interpersonal skills are preferred.

The administrative assistant plays a pivotal role in providing comprehensive support to various initiatives, including the Rising Scholars Program, The Business Success Academy, SC Business Week, the SC Power Forward program, and related programs. Responsibilities encompass tasks such as data collection, maintenance, and reporting to ensure accurate and up-to-date information. The role involves organizing and coordinating different aspects of these initiatives, including living and learning community programs, and supporting marketing efforts. The assistant also addresses inquiries from prospective students, providing necessary information. Specifically, in collaboration with the Manager of Scholar Engagement, the assistant provides programmatic support to the Rising Scholars Program, involving tasks such as gathering data, reporting information for publications and presentations, managing event logistics and execution, coordinating living and learning community activities, and overseeing the annual application and selection process. Provide administrative assistance for related training initiatives.

With a commitment to staying current with the latest training technologies, the role includes exploring and implementing innovative methods to elevate the delivery of programs and office management. Take on the responsibility of providing executive administrative support for the Associate Dean of Office of Access, Opportunity, and Community Engagement. This includes scheduling meetings and offering assistance with presentations. Manage the ordering process and support training initiatives related to the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI). Handle various general office tasks and administrative duties, such as organizing and formatting reports and documents, including Blueprint, Updates for the Associate Dean, and Director of Operations, and creating agendas for office-wide meetings.

The coordinator actively supports team members in various administrative duties, overseeing procurement processes, tracking expenses, and reconciling expenditures with meticulous attention to detail.
In addition to these core responsibilities, the role requires a focus on customer service and positive communication management, encompassing document preparation and facilitating effective communication among team members, partners, and internal/external stakeholders. Furthermore, the coordinator is responsible for managing travel arrangements, including scheduling and coordinating appointments, meetings, and events, while overseeing record-keeping, budget tracking, and event coordination. This role plays a vital part in enhancing the overall functionality and organization of the office environment. The use of 25-Live is incorporated for scheduling meetings, events, and program space
