Engagement Officer for Reunions and Honors

The Engagement Officer for Reunions and Honors owns four of Belmont’s most visible alumni programs: Homecoming Reunions, Alumni Awards, Alumni by Choice, and the Alumni Scholarship. This role leads each program’s full annual cycle — from outreach and recruitment through selection and recognition — while building the Alumni Champions volunteer pipeline that makes these programs run. Coordinating with Advancement Events on production and logistics, this person focuses on the alumni relationship side: who gets a personal invitation, who feels seen and celebrated, and who walks away more connected to Belmont than when they arrived.

Primary position responsibilities:

Lead Homecoming Reunion programming end-to-end

•  Serve as the primary owner of the Homecoming Reunion experience. Identify milestone-year classes, recruit and support class representatives, build reunion communications, and coordinate closely with Advancement Events on all production and logistics. Own the Alumni Awards and Alumni by Choice programs

• Drive the annual cycle for both recognition programs: manage the nomination process, coordinate selection with the appropriate committee or board, and serve as the primary point of contact for honorees through the ceremony. Partner with Advancement Events on ceremony logistics. 

Manage the Alumni Scholarship program

• Serve as the day-to-day owner of the Alumni Scholarship application cycle: communicate timelines to applicants, manage the application flow, coordinate the selection process with the Alumni Board, and steward recipients through announcement and recognition. This is an established program; the role is to run it well and keep it on track.

Steward and cultivate Alumni Champions to build the volunteer pipeline

• Respond to new Champion sign-ups, maintain regular touchpoints with active Champions, and identify and personally invite highly engaged alumni — informed by career and life signals (promotions, relocations, news features, milestone anniversaries) — to step into Champion roles. The goal is a growing volunteer base that feeds reunion class representative roles, recognition nominators, and regional gathering leadership.

Track activity and report on program health

• Maintain accurate records of reunion participation, honoree activity, scholarship cycles, and Champion engagement in our CRM (Salesforce / “BruinQuest”). Report on key metrics to Alumni Engagement leadership on a regular basis.
