Job Summary:
This position provides high-level mechanical skills. The skill set level for this position allows it to work independently on all fuel handling equipment and systems by proper troubleshooting, analysis, repairs and release of the job as completed with minimal instruction and direction. This position is expected to occasionally act as a crew leader and provide assignments to lesser skilled mechanics. This position trains and provides guidance to junior mechanics on system operations, maintenance and repair. This position will obtain the necessary resources to carry out the construction, maintenance and repair of fuel handling systems and equipment. This position is responsible for the offloading of coal, limestone and ash, the operation of the rail car shifter, repairing, performing corrective, predictive and preventive maintenance on alt fuel and ash handling systems. These systems consist of complex conveying equipment and systems, pneumatic conveying systems, coal silos and an ash silo. Further, this position operates all said systems and equipment using the plant Distributive Control System (DCS). This requires an understanding of said systems, computer controls and associated control graphics. The maintenance practices will ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation of this multi-million dollar facility.  
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. Requires certification(s).
