Job Overview

Responsible for control system designs, installs, operations, maintenance, and upgrades.


Essential Functions
  • Manage all building automation systems designs, installations, operations, maintenance and upgrades campus wide.
  • Execute system programming, create program flow charts, logic diagrams, controls narrative documents, etc.
  • Provide technical support, direction and guidance to end users and other trades personnel.
  • Provide PC/Workstation support for hardware and systems software.
  • Evaluate cost effective modes of operation.
  • Direct the work of HVAC staff in the implementation of projects.
  • Perform point-to-point system checkouts and participate in new and renovated system startups. Responsible for design reviews for control systems on new construction and renovation projects.
  • Read, understand and interpret technical and construction related documents (drawings, technical manuals and specifications) in order to determine appropriate equipment and materials required and proper methods of repair or installation
  • Respond to campus emergencies, both during the day and after hours, as needed.
  • Identify energy savings opportunities and make recommendations to achieve more energy efficient operation.

Required Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree must be in a related field.
  • Six (6) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Trainings/Certifications

Energy Efficiency Certification.


Required Experience

Two (2) years of related experience.
