The Endovascular (Surgical) Technician provides for care and safety of all the surgical patients prior to, during and after the surgical procedure, as well as assists the Vascular Surgeon to perform a variety of device implants and vascular procedures. They prepare and maintain the sterile surgical field for each procedure and assures the proper handling of instruments afterward. They demonstrate efficient operation of multi-modality equipment and assist in maintaining inventory of stock. The position reports directly to the Team Leader and Nurse Manager.

Duties:

• Assists Vascular Surgeon with diagnostic and interventional procedures.

• Establishes homeostasis on arterial/venous puncture sites.

• Improvements in Lab-Utilization of time.

• Inventory Control.

• Takes emergency call.

• Assists in transport of patients and rooms turn around.

• Assures that a safe environment is maintained by following OSHA guidelines.

Position Qualification:

High School Diploma or GED, Required

Certified Surgical Tech, Preferred

1-3 years related experience and/or training, Preferred

Basic technical computer skills as required for technical support specific to the image acquisition and post processing (Philips X-Ray equipment, Xcelera, IVUS, FFR, Angiojet, etc.) seimens x-ray equipment
